Campus Establishments
I wish I had known about the Courtyard Cafe, located on the east side of campus
near Engineering.
The Arbor — Located in the center of campus and across from the library,
the Arbor provides a variety of natural and organic snacks, sandwiches, salads,
candy, fresh-baked goods, organic and fair trade coffee and espresso beverages.
The Arbor is also home to a Woodstock's pizza and a Subway sandwich store.
Chilitos Express — There are two Chilitos Express carts on campus. One is
located next to the Arbor, the other in front of Webb Hall. Both carts offer original
fresh-Mex food.
Coffee Carts — There are three coffee/espresso carts on campus. One is at
the Buchanan Store, Nic's Too is located at the east entrance of the Engineering
I building, and Nic's Northwest is located under the arch of the Humanities building.
All carts serve a variety of organic and fair trade coffees, espresso drinks, bakery
specialties, hot chocolate and organic teas.
Coral Tree Cafe —Located between North Hall and Cheadle Hall, the Coral
Tree Cafe serves breakfast, grilled sandwiches, packaged sandwiches, salads and
healthy hot lunch entrees. The Coral Tree CafŽ also serves an assortment of fresh
organic and fair trade brewed coffees, espresso drinks, blended coffee drinks and
baked goods.
The Courtyard Cafe — The Cafe at Lot 10 serves breakfast and lunch, gourmet
deli sandwiches, wraps, grilled items, organic and fair trade coffee and espresso,
and crepes made-to-order. The CafŽ is also home to Rice Garden, a quick service
Asian food concept.
Die Bretzel — Across from the Arbor trailer, the Die Bretzel cart offers
a variety of German sausage sandwiches, sauerkraut, fresh-baked pretzels, and beverages.
University Center (UCen)
The University Center Dining Service operates dining facilities inside the UCen
and across campus.UCen facilities include:

Nicoletti's — organic and fair trade coffees and espresso drinks, bakery
goods, and panini sandwiches
Wendy's — burgers, fries, chili, and salads
Panda Express — Mandarin-style Chinese cuisine
Chilitos — Mexican cuisine Gaucho Deli & Cafe-Greek and Italian sandwiches,
soups, and salads
Gaucho Deli & Cafe - Greek and Italian sandwiches, soups, and salads
Romaine's — soup and salad bar, breadsticks
Dominos — pizza, wings, salads, and breadsticks. Delivery to on-campus residence
halls
Jamba Juice — fresh squeezed juices, smoothies and baked goods
Corner Store — a convenience store selling bulk candy and nuts, packaged
sandwiches and salads, candy, chips, cold beverages, and ice cream novelties.
UCen Dining Services also provides catering services within the UCen or on campus.

Faculty Club
The Faculty Club, a full service restaurant open to the Campus Community, serves
lunch Monday through Friday, 11:30am to 1:30pm. Menu prices range from $5 to $13.
The Club is also available for private functions such as meetings, dinners, receptions,

Isla Vista Food Co-op
2005 Green Award Winning Business
Food For People, Not For Profit! Established in 1972 by UCSB students and local
activists, the I.V. Food Co-op is Isla Vista's community owned and member controlled
natural foods store. If a healthy and organic lifestyle is what you seek, the co-op
is a great resource: we cater to vegan, vegetarian, raw, kosher, gluten-free, and
other special diets! Come to the co-op for locally grown organic produce, an enormous
bulk foods section, natural health and beauty care products, independently published
books and cookbooks, organic cotton clothing, fresh sandwiches made daily, and much
more! You don't have to be a member to shop, but anyone can join and receive special
member-owner benefits. The co-op is located at 6575 Seville Road in Isla Vista,
open every day from 9am-10pm 968-1401.
Restaurants in Isla Vista
Isla Vista (IV) has numerous eateries to choose from. Most of these establishments
cater to student lifestyles, which makes grabbing a bite to eat in I.V. fast and
inexpensive.
