EXCURSION CLUB
Excursion Club - We do it outdoors!" is hardly a euphemism here,
Excursion Club is a student run organization that makes a point to get students
outdoors doing anything and everything we can. Trips range in length, difficulty,
and location, from a quick kayak off our local beach, to week-long treks along the
Colorado River or a day trip to jump out of a plane in central California (yes,
skydiving!). Our fully volunteer student staff leads regular trips paintballing,
hiking, camping, backpacking, mountaineering, kayaking, surfing, rock climbing,
skydiving, and white-water rafting, and is always looking for new horizons. Beginner
trips are commonplace for new members to test new experiences, as more experienced
members are constantly pushing their limits leading and participating in increasingly
rigorous excursions! At Excursion Club, we encourage a degree of friendliness and
self-reliance such that within a year often even once inexperienced members find
themselves leading events and entranced by the outdoors Santa Barbara has to offer.
